RESEARCH MADE:
This artist's website really interested me due to its simplicity. I like the fact that there is a clear image of the artist which makes it clear to us who the artist is and who we’re reading about. I also like the fact that there is a quote at the very bottom which makes it seem as if she’s saying it due to the big picture. The fact that it has categories that you can click on make things much easier for the audience to click on something they’re looking for. However, the fact that my artist is based on a young target market, it means that when they click on a website, they want to see information they want to straight away rather than keeping everything simple. They won’t be bothered to look for something as they might not know where to find it or the structure of the website may put them off it.
In this website, I like the fact that the artist’s name is very clear. The colours are just black and white but it makes everything look very simple, readable and understandable. There are also toolbars for the person to click on what they’re looking for or what they want to find out. I also like the use of red font as it creates a dangerous atmosphere. However, one thing I don't like about this website is that it’s too simple and doesn’t look as appealing. I also don't like the fact that the artist’s picture is not on the website, because when people go on an artist’s website they usually want to see pictures to make sure they’re on the right artist's page. However this leaves them confused and uncertain.
I find this website very interesting due to its dark colours and the use of colour fonts- it makes many categories stand out by the use of yellow and white. The one thing I really like about this website is that it has many categories to click on at the home page and the important things such as: news and events, listen to music, fresh videos and tour dates. I think that this is the best thing for a website to have, as many people want to see what they're looking for straight away when they click on an artist’s website which are exactly those things especially the tour dates, tours and news. I also like the fact that it has logos and links to apps and social medias such as Facebook which allows you to find the artist on Facebook and other social media making them more known. However, one thing I don’t like about this website is that it looks to much of a poster to promote a film as it makes the artist look like that and some of the images within looks like scenes from a film which doesn’t look as appealing.
I also like this website due to the fact that the background of the website is the artist which allows many things to go over that e.g. toolbars, text, categories etc. allowing more things to be on the home page- the important things that the audience I looking for. I also like the different pictures used for the different categories as it makes the website look more appealing and fun as the website isn’t filled with just texts. However, one thing I don’t like about this website is that it doesn’t have enough information on the home page and it doesn’t have the logo apps and links to social medias such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter etc.
